Description
Quick and Easy Grilled Potatoes bring everything you love about crispy potatoes—fluffy insides, golden edges, and smoky char—without the long oven time. Thanks to a quick microwave pre-cook, these grilled spuds are fast, fuss-free, and a perfect summer side dish for any cookout.
Ingredients
2 large russet potatoes (about 300 g each), scrubbed
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat grill to medium (350°F / 175°C) and lightly oil the grates.
Poke potatoes several times with a fork. Microwave on high for 5 minutes, flipping halfway.
Slice potatoes lengthwise, then microwave cut sides up for 2 more minutes.
Brush cut sides with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Place potatoes cut-side down on the grill.
Grill 15–20 minutes, flipping once, until golden and crisp.
Serve hot. Optional: top with sour cream, chives, or green onions.
Notes
Use russet potatoes for best crispiness.
Microwaving cuts grill time and ensures tender centers.
Let potatoes rest after slicing to help them hold together on the grill.
Add flavor with smoked paprika, garlic powder, or Parmesan.
