Description

Grilled Pineapple is a smoky, sweet, and slightly spicy summer treat that adds bold flavor and tropical flair to your BBQ. Marinated in honey, butter, and hot sauce, then grilled to caramelized perfection, these pineapple rings are a vibrant side dish, appetizer, or dessert that steals the spotlight with every juicy bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into 2.5 cm rings

  • 3 tbsp (45 g) melted butter

  • ¼ tsp (1.25 ml) honey

  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce (adjust to taste)

  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place pineapple rings in a resealable bag or shallow dish.

  2. Add melted butter, honey, hot sauce, and a pinch of salt. Seal and shake to coat.

  3. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

  4. Preheat grill to high heat and oil the grates.

  5. Grill pineapple rings for 2–3 minutes per side until grill marks appear.

  6. Serve warm as a sweet-and-spicy side or dessert.

Notes

Use a ripe, fragrant pineapple for best results.

Marinate overnight for deeper flavor.

Add chili powder or cayenne for more heat.

Great with grilled meats, tacos, or ice cream.
