Description

Mini Grilled Cheese Hawaiian Rolls baked until buttery and golden, filled with melted cheddar and mozzarella for an easy, shareable appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs such as oregano or basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them.
  3. Spread softened butter evenly on the cut sides of both halves.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder and dried herbs over the butter if using.
  5. Evenly layer the cheddar and mozzarella over the bottom half of the rolls.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  7. Wrap the rolls tightly in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
  9. Unwrap and bake for 5 more minutes until the tops are lightly golden.
  10. Cool briefly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  1. Keep the rolls connected while baking for even melting.
  2. Use freshly shredded cheese for best texture.
  3. Reheat leftovers in the oven to maintain softness.
