Description
Ooey-gooey, melty, and garlicky, these cheesy chicken wraps are the ultimate weeknight win. Juicy chicken is tossed with garlic oil and two kinds of cheese, then wrapped in tortillas and toasted until golden and crispy. Fast, comforting, and perfect for dinner, lunch, or a late-night snack.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced (280 g)
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp olive oil (15 ml)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (115 g)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (115 g)
4 medium flour tortillas
1 tbsp butter (15 g)
1 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook the Chicken (if not already cooked): Season chicken lightly with salt and pepper. Bake, sauté, or grill until fully cooked (165°F / 74°C). Dice into bite-sized pieces.
Make Garlic Oil: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté 30–60 seconds until golden and fragrant.
Mix Chicken & Cheese: Toss diced chicken in garlic oil. Remove skillet from heat and stir in mozzarella and cheddar until melted and gooey.
Assemble Wraps: Lay tortillas flat, spoon cheesy chicken mixture into the center, fold in sides, and roll burrito-style. Repeat with all tortillas.
Toast the Wraps: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Place wraps seam-side down and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Serve: Rest 1–2 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
Fresh garlic delivers the best flavor—skip garlic powder here.
Mozzarella brings gooey stretch, cheddar adds sharpness—swap in pepper jack or provolone for variation.
Toast over medium heat so the tortillas crisp without burning.
Make the filling ahead of time for an even faster meal.
Vegetarian swap: replace chicken with mushrooms, spinach, or black beans.
