Description

Salmon Sliders are mini sandwiches packed with bold flavor and heart-healthy nutrients. Made with tender cooked salmon, fresh toppings, and a creamy sauce nestled between soft buns, these sliders are perfect for entertaining, weeknight dinners, or even light lunches. They’re easy to make, customizable, and full of delicious fusion flair.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillets (skinless, boneless)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 8 slider buns (e.g., Hawaiian rolls or whole grain)

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced

  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced

  • ½ cup lemon garlic aioli or your favorite sauce

Optional Substitutions & Variations:

  • Use canned salmon (drained) instead of fresh

  • Substitute buns with lettuce wraps for a low-carb option

  • Add chili flakes or jalapeño for heat

  • Use gluten-free buns or vegan patties as needed

Instructions

  1. Cook the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season salmon with salt and pepper. Cook for 8 minutes, breaking apart gently as it cooks until flaky.

  2. Prep the Toppings: Slice buns, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Prepare your sauce (e.g., aioli or spicy mayo).

  3. Assemble the Sliders: Place a spoonful of cooked salmon on each bottom bun. Add lettuce, tomato, and onion. Drizzle with sauce. Top with the upper bun.

  4. Serve Immediately: Optionally, secure each slider with a toothpick for easy handling.

Notes

Air fryer method: Cook salmon at 375°F for 7–10 minutes.

Grilling method: Cook salmon 3–4 minutes per side on a greased grill.

For party appetizers, make mini versions and serve with decorative picks.

Sauce options: Lemon garlic aioli, spicy mayo, tzatziki, or dill yogurt sauce.
